Agricultural students who trained at Flock House 50 years ago are heading back there for a reunion this weekend.
Flock House, near Bulls in the Rangitikei region, operated as an agricultural training institution from 1918 -1988.
Since then it's struggled to continue as a conference centre under a series of owners and was recently sold again.
Reunion organiser, Errol Ashby, who farms at Darfield, has managed to track down all except four of his fellow trainees from the class of '59.
Twenty five people, including former classmates and their partners are attending the gathering, which starts on Friday night.
Mr Ashby says Flock House has played an important research and knowledge role in New Zealand agriculture.
