Kiwifruit Vine Health has confirmed another orchard in South Auckland has the vine-killing disease Psa.
The infected orchard is in the Franklin district, bringing to six the number of properties in the area affected by the disease .
Until December last year Psa had been been found only in Bay of Plenty.
The total number of infected orchards has now risen to 1179 - 36% of the country's kiwifruit orchards.
Psa was first discovered on a Te Puke orchard in November 2010.
