The New Zealand Forester of the Year has been announced.
He is Brett Gilmore, from Napier, who works for Pan Pac Forest Products in Hawkes Bay.
The award from the Institute of Forestry recognises Mr Gilmore's participation in the wider forestry scene including on environmental issues.
