New Zealand open shearing champion John Kirkpatrick is continuing on his winning way in Britain where he's part of the NZ team competing on the British circuit.
In his latest outings, he took the open title at two shearing events in Wales over the weekend and has won five of the six finals in which he's shorn in the past month.
His only defeat, by the narrowest of margins, was at the hands of David Fagan in the Lakeland Shears.
Kirkpatrick's New Zealand teammate, Nathan Stratford of Invercargill, was fifth in both of the weekend's finals, but the pair was beaten in a Test match by the Welsh team of Gareth Daniel and Richard Jones, reversing the previous result.
