Beekeepers have had enough of the wet weather, which has kept bees in their hives for longer than usual and increased the risk of disease.
With flowering having already started in some regions, national president Barry Foster says beekeepers are keen to see a decent spell of sunny conditions so they can get around their hives, to feed them and treat them for varroa.
