A winemaker and viticulturist from Wairarapa is the Young Viticulturist of the Year.
Brad Crosby, 30, from Borthwick Estate in Carterton, who is studing for a wine science degree, will compete in the National Young Horticulturist of the Year event in November.
The event which is held in conjunction with the Romeo Bragato conference, aims to encourage and nurture excellence in viticulture.
Categories include, pruning, budgeting, general knowledge of viticulture, machinery skills and public speaking.
