Vacancies on Fonterra's board will be hotly contested, with 11 candidates vying for three seats.
They include two sitting directors - Nicola Shadbolt and chairman-elect John Wilson, who are seeking re-election.
The third vacancy was created by the early resignation of another farmer director, Colin Armer.
The other candidates include former Fonterra Shareholders Council chairman Blue Read, and Jacqueline Rowarth, Professor of Agribusiness at Waikato University.
Voting will open late next month.
