Prices for finer wools eased off at this week's wool sale, but strong wool prices held their ground.
Almost 90% of the 7000 bales of North Island wool were sold.
The exporter, New Zealand Wool Services International, says fine crossbred fleece and longer shears went for 3 - 5% less than last week's South Island sale.
Overall, prices were still well above the last North Island wool auction a fortnight ago.
