The Ministry for Primary Industries has had a strong response from groups seeking funding for Maori agribusiness projects.
Earlier this year, the ministry announced a special round of its sustainable farming fund for Maori interests.
Deputy Director-General Scott Gallacher says almost 50 applications have been received.
Fourteen have been approved worth $2.7 million over three years. He said they cover a wide range of activities.
