Zespri deputy chairman Peter McBride will take over from John Loughlin as the company's chairman from early next year.
Mr McBride is one of five grower directors on Zespri's board of eight. He has been on the board since 2002 and deputy chairman since 2008.
He is also the current chairman of Kiwifruit Vine Health, but will step down from this role before he begins his new position with Zespri.
