A call has been renewed call for a new board to help co-ordinate efforts to boost agricultural food exports.

Dr Kevin Marshall was one of the authors of a report released by the Riddet research institute earlier this year.

The report identified the potential to treble the value of agrifood exports to $58 billion per year by 2025,

But it said the industry and the Government need to collaborate more to release that potential.

One of the recommendations was to establish an agrifood board. But Dr Marshall told Federated Farmers National Council on Thursday that nothing has happened. .

Dr Marshall also said primary industry senior executives at an event at Stanford University in the United States earlier this year also rejected the idea of an agrifood board.
