Lamb prices lower this year

Lamb prices are shabby this year in the lower North and South Islands.

This time last year some farmers in Wairarapa were getting $8per kg - last week they got $5.15.

Country Life reports that recently a contact near Mossburn sent a mob of 20kg lambs away for processing and was paid $106 per lamb. Last year he was getting $160 per lamb.
