Wool sale

12:51 pm on 17 December 2012

A stronger New Zealand dollar has shorn some of the value off wool at last week's sale.

More than 90% of the 7800 bales of North Island wool up for auction were sold.

Wool Services International said demand from China has underpinned prices for finer cross-bred wools.

But the stronger currency and increased supplies caused more slippage on prices for coarser wool.
