More than 7000 people are expected at the Marlborough Wine and Food Festival at Brancott Estate winery, west of Blenheim, on Saturday.
Wine Marlborough general manager Marcus Pickens says as always there will be a huge range of Marlborough wine and food available.
He says large marquees in which top chefs will demonstrate to the public just what they can do with local Marlborough produce are new to the festival.
Mr Pickens says this is the 29th year of the festival which, in addition to being a great money spinner for Marlborough, has also helped boost consumers' awareness of wine.
He says many of the region's established wineries will have stands but there is also an area designated for newcomers to the industry to display their wines.
