Wool prices steady

6:33 am on 11 February 2013

Wool prices were steady at last week's combined North and South Island wool sale.

At the auction 87% of the 15,000 bales on offer sold, with China the keenest of the international buyers.

Wool Services International general manager John Dawson said a steady demand and a lower than expected supply of wool is helping the market stabilise.

The next combined sale is on Thursday.
