Global dairy prices rose more than 3% on Tuesnight, the largest rise since last September.
Fonterra's fortnightly auction of dairy products shows an average winning price of $US3756 per metric tonne.
Prices for whole milk powder jumped nearly 6%, anhydrous milk fat and butter milk powder each rose 4%, while milk protein concentrate fell 0.2%.
It was the fifth consecutive rise in prices at the fortnightly auction.
