A new round of dairy industry awards is underway and two brothers have won the top award for the Northland region.
Ian and Tim Douglas of Whangarei, took the sharemilker-equity farmer title.
They are shareholders with their parents in the a 300 hectare family farm, which they manage.
Niall and Delwyn McKenzie are the Northland farm managers of the year and Jake Thomson took the dairy trainee title.
The regional winners will go through to the national finals.
