The best steak in the land has been found - and the farmers who produced it are no strangers to winning.
Chris and Karren Biddles from Northland were crowned Grand Champions at the 2013 Beef + Lamb New Zealand Steak of Origin competition in Fielding on Monday night.
The Biddles won the same award in 2007 and were judged producers of the decade in 2012.
This year, they won the award again with their Angus/Jersey beef sirloin entry.
However, Mr Biddles says he wasn't sure how they'd fare because of the conditions on the farm.
The Biddles took home more than $7000 in prize money.
