Organic funding programme ends

6:58 am on 1 July 2009

A three year funding programme designed to encourage farmers and horticulturists into converting to organics, ended on 30 June.

The $2 million organic advisory programme originated in 2006 from an agreement between the Green party and the Labour Government.

Organics Aoteaora New Zealand had the job of managing it. From 1 July, the organisation will make useful information available through a toll free number.
