The farmer group Meat Industry Excellence, which is seeking to reform the red-meat sector, has made its first appointment to the establishment team it's setting up for the campaign.
He's Ross Hyland, who is well-known in agribusiness and commercial circles.
Mr Hyland has been involved in the stock feed company SealesWinslow and is also chairman of the Lincoln University farms committee, a director of Lincoln Agritech, and a member of the university's research and commercialisation committee.
