A dose of the flu did not stop a Northland cattle farmer from winning the regional final of the national Young Farmer contest.
James Donaldson, with his wife Katie, raises bulls and stud cows on a leased property at Titoki.
He will compete in the grand final in Gore in July, with other regional winners.
That will be the second time for him. He also made the 2008 grand final.
