A Swedish woman will compete for the title of New Zealand farm manager of the year next month.
Maria Carlson, 24, has won the top of the south final on the West Coast and will compete with 11 other regional winners in the final.
She has been in New Zealand for five years and is currently managing a 220-hectare dairy farm in the Marlborough Sounds.
The farm manager of the year competition is part of the Dairy Industry Awards.
