Wool prices have continued their yo-yo pattern, with increased demand pushing prices up again at the North and South Island sales on Thursday.
Wool Services International reports that prices for coarse fleece wools and shears lifted by 1% - to 4% on the previous sale a fortnight ago, when the prices eased.
Lambs' fleece was up to 3% dearer.
Prices for a small selection of fine crossbred wools rose by 2% - 5%, due mainly to continued interest from China.
Overall, 86% of the offering, almost 24,000 bales, was sold.
