A significant investment by the Waikato-based Dairy Goat Co-Operative will allow it to expand its export markets beyond the 20-plus countries it currently supplies.

The Prime Minister opened a new $70 million dollar spray dryer for the company that produces goat's milk infant formulas, at their Hamilton plant.
Dairy Goat Co-Operative Chief Executive Tony Giles said sales growth had continued to climb in the past 15-years and it had been building more manufacturing facilities to support that.
"We specialise in infant formula and children's formula. We don't make other types of goat products, so we have a very narrow focus on that."
"China is one of our markets but we try and have a good spread of markets to spread the risk and we've been embarking on a market development programme for the last 10 years and we'd export to about 25 markets at the moment."
