North Otago cropping and dairy farmer Chris Dennison says farmers need to lift their game and strive higher in their businesses.
Chris Dennison told the NZX Agribusiness conference in Taupoon Wednesday that New Zealand farmers underestimate themselves.
He said the current financial and climatic conditions for farmers are tough, but they could manage it a lot better if they refocused their goals.
It's easy to "do what you did yesterday", he said.
