The fertiliser co-operative, Ravensdown, is reducing the prices farmers are paying for some key products, in response to changing conditions in the international fertiliser market.
Nitrogen fertiliser, urea, is to fall $23 a tonne, DAP and granulated ammonium sulphate drop $35 a tonne, and potash falls $55.
Ravensdown's chief executive officer, Greg Campbell, said there was a falling demand for ammonia-based products as Brazil's market remained depressed.
He said it was notoriously hard to predict where prices of those global commodities were going to go, but the co-operative tried to pass on any savings where it could.
