The dairy woman of the year has been awarded to West Coast farmer, Katie Milne.

The Federated Farmers national board member and West Coast provincial president was awarded the title at the Dairy Woman's Network annual conference in Invercargill last night.
The judges said Ms Milne contributed to the dairy industry with a passion that gets attention, and played a role beyond her expertise and experience to make a difference for the wider dairy industry.
Two Community Leadership Awards were also announced last night.
They went to two Southland farmers, Jo Sanford and Rachael Nicholson.
