Women with an interest in taking leadership roles in the rural industry are to be helped by a newly formed group - the Agriwomen's Development Trust.
It has been formed by Eketahuna farmer Lindy Nelson, a former Kellogg rural leaders scholarship winner.
Ms Nelson says 10 women a year will be chosen to take part in the year-long programme.
She says women only make up 6% of senior management and governance positions in rural businesses.
