A wholly owned subsidiary of Telecom, Gen-i, has entered into a partnership with three agricultural companies, to develop an information storage and exchange system for farmers.
Rural market manager David Walker says the company will work with ANZCO, Tru-Test and Agtrac to pilot the Rural Zone technology system.
Mr Walker says the first phase of a pilot project which starts in September will focus on animal weight information.
