More shearing success for NZ teams

There's been further success for new Zealand shearers who have been competing at the world championships in Wales.

The world champion New Zealand shearing team has sewn up another test series against Wales, going up 3-0 on Friday morning, with one test to go.

Cam Ferguson and David Fagan, who won the world machine shearing team and individual titles this week, beat Welsh shearers Gareth Daniels and Hwyl Jones by a single point in a 20-sheep match at the Royal Welsh Show and 14th Golden Shears World Championships.

The teams meet in the final test this weeked at the Corwen Shears, where there will also be a woolhandling test between New Zealand and Wales.

New Zealanders Sheree Alabaster and Keryn Herbert are the favourites after winning the world teams wool handling final on Wednesday.
