The Rural Recovery Group in Canterbury is planning a series of community meetings in rural districts affected by the earthquake on 4 September.

Rural Women New Zealand national councillor Kerry Maw says the meetings will be a mini expo of information, covering technical aspects of farming through to the support available from Government departments.

Ms Maw says the meetings will also be an opportunity for people to come together to share experiences, socialise, and support each other.

She says the group hopes to hold the first of these meetings within the next week or two.
