Directors named to new farming company

A new company set up to boost returns to the meat industry has named six directors.

FarmIQ runs the 'plate-to pasture' model, which involves SIlver Fern Farms, PGG Wrightson, Landcorp and the Government investing $151 million in total.

The company will be chaired by Alison Paterson. Other directors are David Clarke, Rob Hewett of Silver Fern Farms and Keith Cooper, Landcorp's chief executive Chris Kelly and PGG Wrightson chief executive Tim Miles.

A chief executive is still to be appointed.
