New Zealand shearers and wool handlers made a clean sweep in the latest trans-Tasman Test matches held at Hay in New South Wales during the weekend.
The machine-shearing team of Cam Ferguson, Tony Coster and Grant Smith achieved New Zealand's first win in Australia in that event in eight years.
Blades shearers, Brian Thomson and Allen Gemmell, of Canterbury also won their contest.
Joel Henare and Ronnie Goss extended a run of wool-handling successes against Australia.
Meanwhile, David Fagan continued his strong start to the shearing season with another title at the Poverty Bay show in Gisborne during the weekend.
Fagan, who turned 50 during the week, has now achieved 605 open-class wins in his career.
