Poverty Bay is the latest region to be identified as having the kiwifruit bacterial disease PSA.
Zespri says 77 orchards now have PSA confirmed, one of which is near Gisborne.
That leaves Northland as the only region free of the disease.
Fifty-eight of the infected orchards are in a 23km area south of Te Puke.
Latest MAF inspections show that the number of orchards returning negative test results grew from 286 on Wednesday to 362 on Thursday.
Zespri says progress is being made on setting up an independent body to administer funds to growers hit by PSA.
There are also plans for a group including MAF, Zespri, kiwifruit growers and Asure Quality to prepare a long-term disease management strategy.
