A Waikato farming family has won the supreme award in the region's Ballance farm environment awards.
Waiomou Valley Farms is a partnership between Gordon and Pamela Blake, and their son Grant and his wife Lindsay.
Their 530-cow dairying operation, southeast of Tirau, has been described by the judges as being an excellent example of intergenerational sustainability, from both an environmental and business perspective.
