The Ministry of Agriculture's sustainable farming fund has approved 71 new grants totalling $9.5 million.
The fund was set up in 2000 to support grass roots action by farmers, growers and foresters.
Over the past decade, more than $100 million in Government funding, matched by community and industry contributions, has been invested in nearly 700 projects.
The grants support a range of projects, from new pest management tools to organic production and improving water use efficiency.
