Wool prices have lifted slightly for the second consecutive week.

Wool Services International says this week's combined North and South Island sale has seen fine crossbred shears fetch up to 1.5% more, while coarse crossbred types were between 1% - 2.5% dearer.

Long lambs' fleece also regained value, rising between 2% - 5%, and long oddments were between 7% - 12% dearer.

Only 5500 bales were auctioned and competition was limited, with 78% of the wool selling.
