An Otago farming couple has won the national ewe hogget competition.
Phil Hunt and Lizzie Carruthers were named the Romney breed winners, before going on to to win the overall supreme title in Christchurch on Thursday night.
They run a 474-hectare sheep, beef and deer property in the Maungawera Valley northeast of Wanaka.
There were more than 200 entries in the competition this year.
