North Island competitors won all four events in this year's national sheep dog trial championships, which wound up in Wairarapa at the weekend.
Kenny Whittaker and his dog Doc, from Okaihau, in Northland, won the Long Head final.
Bruce Williams, with Card, from Taumaranui, took the Short Head and Yard event.
Guy Peacock and Frank, from Taihape, won the Zig Zag Huntaway title.
And in a very close final, Dan Murphy and Quest from Stratford, took the Straight Huntaway event, by just half a point.
