A number of agricultural businesses are looking to leverage off this year's Rugby World Cup in a series of regional business showcases.
The event is expected to bring more than 85,000 international visitors to New Zealand in September and October.
The agricultural sector is one of the areas identified by the Government that are to be highlighted to international visitors.
Agribusiness showcase development manager Deborah Jack says they will look to connect agri-businesses with visitors who have a specific interest in the sector.
The specific sectors are: marine, aviation, ICT, agribusiness, forestry, energy and resources, science, food and beverage, wine, equine, film, fashion and textiles, design, education, investment, music, rugby and tourism.
