Hawke's Bay Winegrowers says there's increasing interest from both Hong Kong and mainland China in buying red wine from Hawke's Bay.
Chairman Nicholas Buck says an official trade and economic delegation from Hong Kong recently told wine companies here there is a thirst for best quality wines and New Zealand as a brand has exceptional favour in Hong Kong.
He says that visit was followed up this week by a private group of business people from mainland China, discussing possible deals with wine companies in Hawke's Bay.
