Advancing age isn't holding back top shearer David Fagan, who had a series of wins in the South Island last week.
Fagan successfully defended his New Zealand Spring Championships open title at the Waimate Shears at the weekend and was also in the winning team for a shearing and woolhandling event.
Earlier in the week he won speedshear events at Waikouaiti and Waimate.
Fagan turns 50 this week, but is not letting that get in the way. He is to take part in another contest in Gisborne next weekend.
He has been competing in open-class shearing for 30 years, and has had more than 600 wins, including five individual world titles.
