Meatworkers locked out of a sheep processing plant at Marton for more than three weeks have rejected a new offer from the company and will continue picketing the site.
More than 100 workers affected by the lockout voted on Thursday after mediation talks the day before between the Meatworkers Union and CMP Rangitikei owner ANZCO.
Union negotiator Roger Middlemass says ANZCO is now offering a one-off payment of $500, but still wants pay cuts of 15 to 20 per cent and reductions in allowances for shift changes.
He says the locked-out workers rejected the offer unanimously and will be back on the picket line from Friday.
The company says most of the plant's workers have left the union and signed individual contracts that include the pay cuts.
