Organisers of the first event to bring together all elements of the horse industry say the response was so good that they have decided to hold it annually.
Equidays was held at the Mystery Creek Events Centre near Hamilton over the weekend and was initially planned to be held every two years.
Event manager Vanessa Richmond says more than 12,000 people attended the initial event and many exhibitors were sold out of products on the first day.
She says dates for next year's event are still to be confirmed.
