A record number of entries is expected in this year's dairy industry awards, with dairy farmers entering the annual industry awards in droves.
So far nearly 400 entries have been received, about 50 ahead of the same time last year.
Awards organiser Chris Keeping says she expects the increase in entries is due to good spring-time weather and high dairy export returns.
Farmers will compete in 12 regional competitions before advancing to a national final and awards dinner in Auckland next year.
The record number of entries was 508 in 2010.
Entries close on 20 December.
