Ever increasing gap between South Africa and NZ ahead of test series

Despite the ever increasing gap between New Zealand and South Africa as the Proteas tour has gone on, former skipper Dan Vettori says the mood in the camp is good ahead of the first test in Dunedin.

Having lost the Twenty20 series 2-1, the Black Caps lost the one day series three-nil and if that pattern continues a series whitewash loom in the three test series starting tomorrow at the University Oval.

South Africa's ranked second on the test rankings and New Zealand a lowly eighth above only Bangladesh.

But Vettori believes the experience he, Chris Martin and Ross Taylor brings will help.
