London Olympic hopeful Sophia Batchelor has broken a long standing record at the New Zealand Age Group Swimming Championships in Wellington.
16-year-old Batchelor from Christchurch, broke Melissa Ingram's 11 year old record for the 200 backstroke, taking almost a second off the old mark.
She now has 18 current national age group records.
