Breakers confirm Vector Arena for ANBL playoffs

3:07 pm on 14 March 2012

The Breakers will play all of their Australian National Basketball League playoff matches at Vector Arena in Auckland and not their regular home venue, the North Shore Events centre.

The Breakers, who've already won the minor premiership with three regular season games still remaining, will play the opening match of their home and away semi final against a yet to be decided opponent, at Vector Arena, two weeks on Friday.

Should a third game be needed that will also be played there, on April 7th.

The Breakers general manager Richard Clarke says the decision was based on capacity.

The Breakers could play any one of three teams in the semis, the Gold Coast Blaze, Townsville Crocodiles or the Cairns Taipans.

Dates and times for any possible Grand Final Series matches are yet to be announced.

The next Breakers game is on Thursday night against Gold Coast on the North Shore.
