Despite beating the Crusaders last round the Chiefs have made changes to their lineup ahead of Friday night's Super Rugby match against the ACT Brumbies in Tauranga.

Flanker Sam Cane comes into the starting lineup with Liam Messam moving to number eight and Kane Thompson, who played at number eight dropping to the reserves.

Jackson Willison will start at centre with Richard Kahui moving to the wing to replace Asaeli Tikoirotuma who is on bereavement leave.

The Chiefs reserve hooker Hika Elliot is out with a scratched eye while flanker Scott Waldrom comes into the match day squad for the first time this season.
