Daniel Flynn's likely to open the batting for New Zealand after the Northern batsman was recalled for the third and final cricket test against South Africa in Wellington.

Dean Brownlie's back in the 14-man squad too, though he has to prove he's over his finger injury for Canterbury first.

Rob Nicol and Brent Arnel have been dropped following Saturday's 9-wicket pasting by South Africa in Hamilton inside three days.

The third and final test starts in Wellington on Friday - South Africa lead the series 1-0.
